Art Deco Era, Lampl USA Sea Foam Enamel Compact / Cigarette Case with Paste Stones and Blue Crystals, ca 1930s

"Walter Lampl, Inc ... Creators of the Unusual - as Usual" was the motto of Walter Lampl, a jeweler who produced quality fine and costume jewelry as well as exquisite women's accessories.

This particular piece, a combination cigarette case and compact, is shiny gold tone and sea foam enamel; the enamel covers the 2 small compartments to hold cigarettes and the bottom. Please be sure to note the edging of each of the sides, each with 2 rows of paste stones and a row of dark blue crystals in between; note, too, the paste stone detail on the bottom edge of the compact's top with its dark blue crystal skyscraper in the center.

The whole piece measures 1/8" high, 5 3/4" wide and 3" deep. As you can see, it is in excellent vintage condition.

This exquisite compact would certainly make heads turn every time you pull it out and would be a wonderful addition to your vintage collection.
